Privacy Policy

NutriTrack ("the app", "we") is a calorie and diet tracking app operated by Sambhav Shahi (FoundryZero), based in Nepal. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. It is written in plain language.

What we collect

Account — your email address and display name when you sign up (email/password or Google Sign-In). Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication.
Nutrition data you enter — meals, custom foods, diet plans, meal timetable, hydration, streaks, and profile details (e.g. calorie goal). This is stored in your account so it syncs across your devices.
Reviews — if you leave a review, your display name, star rating and feedback text are stored and shown publicly in the app.
We do not collect location, contacts, or advertising identifiers. We do not sell your data.

Where it's stored

Data is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore, region asia-south1 / Mumbai) under your account, and cached locally on your device for offline use. Each user's data is isolated by security rules so only you can read or write your records.

Third-party services

Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore) — account and data sync. See Google's privacy policy.
Open Food Facts — when you search the online food database or scan a barcode, your query/barcode is sent to Open Food Facts to return nutrition info. No account data is sent.
AI food search — food-lookup queries are sent through our own secure proxy to an AI model to return nutrition estimates. Only the text of your query is sent; it is not linked to your identity.

AI-estimated values

Some nutrition values are AI- or community-estimated and marked "approx." NutriTrack is a tracking aid, not medical or dietary advice. Consult a professional for medical decisions.

Your choices & rights

You can edit or delete individual entries in the app at any time.
You can request full account and data deletion by emailing us (see Contact). We will delete your account data from Firebase.
You can sign out at any time to stop syncing on a device.

Children

NutriTrack is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

Terms of Service

Using the app

By creating an account you agree to these terms. Use NutriTrack lawfully and don't attempt to break, abuse, or reverse-engineer it, or misuse other users' data.

Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login secure and for the accuracy of the information you enter. You must be 13 or older to use NutriTrack.

Not medical advice

NutriTrack provides nutrition tracking and estimates for general wellness. It is not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice.

Premium & payments

NutriTrack offers a free trial and an optional premium subscription. Payments are made manually via Fonepay/eSewa QR in Nepali Rupees; the app does not process card payments. Premium is granted to your account after payment is confirmed. Prices are shown in the app with no hidden fees.

Availability & changes

The app is provided "as is". We may update, change, or discontinue features. We'll post material changes to these terms on this page.

Refund Policy

Because premium is unlocked manually after a QR payment, refunds are handled by email.

You may request a refund within 7 days of payment if you have not substantially used premium features.
Email us from the address on your account with your payment reference; approved refunds are returned to the paying Fonepay/eSewa account.
Lifetime purchases follow the same 7-day window.

This is a good-faith policy for an independently run app; we aim to resolve issues fairly.
